Cooling tune-up

Performance, airflow & drainage.

We check the filter, blower, accessible duct connections and insulation, thermostat, electrical components and cooling performance. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are measured when appropriate for your equipment and operating conditions. We inspect accessible indoor-coil surfaces, drain pans, drain connections and overflow protection.

We treat the primary condensate pan and drain line to help limit buildup. We also clean the outdoor coil as needed, wipe accessible interior and exterior surfaces and clean accessible electrical compartments. Drain treatment does not clear an existing clog.

Heating tune-up

Operation, safety & airflow.

We check heating performance, thermostat operation, airflow, electrical components and the safety controls on your system. For heat pumps, we check backup heat if installed and defrost operation when conditions allow. For gas systems, we check ignition, burners, gas connections, venting and the accessible parts of the heat exchanger, along with gas pressure and combustion safety where applicable. We also inspect drainage where needed, clean accessible electrical compartments and remove loose debris.

Outdoor coil cleaning and drain treatment are included in the cooling visit.

Frequently asked questions.

How do membership and billing work?

Submitting a membership request does not enroll you or charge you. We confirm your covered systems, monthly total and start date before enrollment. Membership continues month to month and is billed automatically until you cancel.

To stop future charges, call or email before your next billing date; membership benefits continue through your paid billing period. Existing repair warranties remain in effect through their original two-year term.

How are my tune-ups scheduled?

We contact you to arrange one cooling visit and one heating visit each year for every covered system. We keep your equipment details, filter sizes and service history on file.

What if I have more than one system?

Membership is $18 per month for the first covered system plus $10 for each additional system. If you’re unsure how many systems you have, tell us about your equipment when you request membership. We review your setup and confirm the covered equipment, system count and monthly total before enrollment, including homes with ductless equipment.

How do the member savings work?

Members pay no diagnostic fee and save 10% on repairs for covered systems. Nonmembers pay an $89 diagnostic fee, credited toward an approved repair. Members also save 5% on a new heating and cooling system installed by Haven. We explain our findings and confirm your price before you approve the work.

What does the two-year repair warranty cover?

Repairs completed on a covered system while you are a Comfort Club member include a two-year parts-and-labor warranty. It covers the parts Haven supplies and installs and the labor needed to correct that repair, including the return visit for a covered claim.

Coverage runs for two years from the original repair date and continues if your membership ends. A warranty repair does not restart that period. Unrelated failures and routine maintenance are separate. Repairs for nonmembers include 90 days of parts-and-labor coverage.

Are filters, repairs and deep cleaning included?

Replacement filters are purchased separately. We confirm the size and type so you can have them ready, and install them during your maintenance visit at no extra labor charge.

New repairs, refrigerant, replacement parts, clearing clogged drains, evaporator-coil cleaning and blower removal or deep cleaning are quoted separately. We explain the findings and confirm your member price before you approve any additional work. Work covered by an existing Haven repair warranty has no additional charge.

Is a tune-up the same as a repair?

A tune-up checks your system’s operation and includes the seasonal maintenance described above. A repair corrects a specific fault. If your system already has a problem, tell us when you request service so we can arrange the right visit. New repairs and deep cleaning are quoted separately, with your member savings applied where eligible. See our repair visit and diagnostic details.

Can I book a one-time tune-up, and what will it cost?

Yes. A one-time heating or cooling tune-up is $109 for one system, without membership. Request a single visit and tell us how many systems need service. Before scheduling, we confirm the seasonal work included, the systems covered and the total price.

Repairs and deep cleaning are separate from a tune-up. If we find a problem, we explain the recommended work and its price before you decide whether to proceed.
